Ute Invitational Summer Ball
|
|
Wednesdays, July 6th - August 3rd from 5 - 8 p.m.
University of Utah Campus
$250/player (by invite only - limited to 28 spaces)

Description: These games are designed to provide 28 of the best high school lacrosse players from our community the opportunity to experience learning and playing the sport in Utah at the highest level.
Our coaching staff has seen many Freshman, Sophomores or Juniors in our community display tons of abililty and potential, but end up hitting a plateau and never getting any better! This is usually because players who are the best amongst their teams and competition are not pushed anymore to improve because their coaches are busy working with the less talented players trying to catch them up. This leads to so many kids failing to be pushed to reach their max potential. Not anymore!
We spend no time working on basic skills in this camp, only advanced level skill sets and concepts that separate the average player, from the stand-out with a future in the sport. Each week, we warm-up working on up to 3 concepts per player, and then we play a high intensity scrimmage focused on those new concepts. Current Ute players will help coach the games and teach the concepts to each player, which the Utes coaching staff "coaches" the scrimmage and shows the kids a level, speed, and temp of the sport they have never seen. It is a simple structure, with amazing results!
This camp is an invitational only camp to be sure that all players already have the required skill sets they need to take the next step. This assures that they will truly learn something from this camp as well as help all other campers learn as well.
The physical and mental concepts and skills taught during these games are usually too advanced for the average high school team around our state, so they are left out. Thise event provides a chance for the kids who are at that level the chance to learn them and implement them into their game.
|
Event Features: This event is limited to 28 spaces (including 3 goalies) for players who are personally invited to attend by a member of the Utes coaching staff because they feel the athlete has the potential to really have a future in the sport. As is our mission, we want to help kids from our community succeed in the sport of lacrosse, whether they wear a Utes uniform in college or not, we are all on the same lacrosse team here!
If you think you might be qualified and would like to participate in this camp, please send any coach an email to let us know!
